The Reality of High-Level Bodybuilding

It’s more than just how much you love it.
It’s the length of time and consistency of action beyond what most are willing to commit to.
It’s the amount of $ and energy you’re willing to invest not knowing if you’ll ever make more than a hobby out of it.
It’s the amount of gear you take.
…and more importantly, GENETICS MATTER.
I will never reach the elite level. Despite the willingness to commit my energy, $ and time, there’s too many things that require my attention and I don’t have the genetic “it.”
But that’s okay. I’ve accepted that, and I’m still going to do everything I can to maximize my physique because I love this shit. And honestly, even if it’s not an elite look, I want to look better naked than most.
And there are many others out there like me.
When those of you who haven't realized it, realize that too, I don’t want you to be discouraged.
I just want to bring an honest awareness to a real reality. And to tell you that if you do it for the love of the game, you’ll still achieve a physique you can be proud of that’s better than 95% of the population.
THAT is worth something.
And for those of you who have the “it,” here’s my message:
Don’t waste time. Because ultimately as more and more people get into this, the pool of other freaks will increase, and many of those WILL put in the work you won’t.
Regardless of how good your genetics are, there is still an element of patience that is required before you get to the next level.
So in that time, you need to be making the most out of each day.
It’s like the old saying goes: “hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.”
But when talent works hard. Game Over.
I want to add one more line:
Talent that works hard relentlessly FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME will be the talent that takes it to the next level.
